Do you know anyone who has an appreciation for creativity, an appetite for innovative ideas and/or has a link with IIT, Illinois Institut of Technology?
If so, please be a kind person. Forward this to that person.
TED.com has become a global phenomenon to showcase Ideas Worth Sharing. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design. TEDx is an independently event curated by the approved licensee, following the guidelines and spirit of TED. All TED and TEDx speakers are by invitations only.
As an IIT Alumna and a TEDx speaker, I am the founder and champion of TEDxIIT since 2009. Due to the recent turn over of the student leadership, I have stepped in as a co-organizer, working with a new group of smart, dynamic and energetic students.
This is a student organization hosting a world class TED like event for the IIT community for the global platform. Anyone, anywhere, any time zone, in the world with wifi connection, will be able to view the event on Saturday, April 14, 2012.
Global Event on April 14, 2012
The event is free. For 2012, only 100 TEDx seats will be available at the auditorium. You will have to apply for that seat, just like at the real TED conference. If you cannot physically be on the main campus to witness the amazing atmosphere, you can watch it on line. This will be live streaming globally with a permanent digital footprint thru the TED.com website. Last year, the inaugural TEDxIIT 2011 was a great success.
